Carlena Joseph is a 24-year-old freelance graphic designer based in Brooklyn, NY. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Adelphi University in December 2022. In 2021, she officially launched her small business, Edits By Lena, after years of honing her craft through projects for businesses, friends, and community organizations.

Through Edits By Lena, Carlena specializes in brand identity and creative design, offering services such as logo creation, flyers, business cards, product labels, social media content, packaging design, and photo/video editing. Her work is marked by creativity, professionalism, and a commitment to bringing her clients’ visions to life with excellence and integrity.

Carlena’s design journey began with creating graphics for the non-profit organization Glow 31 Inc., and has since expanded to include projects for Garments of Praise Ministries LLC, Apparel That Speaks, and The New Majority (formerly 21in21), an organization dedicated to empowering women in politics.

Grounded in her Christian faith, Carlena views her gifts as a reflection of God’s grace and creativity. She finds inspiration in Ephesians 33:31(NIV): “and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills—”. With this foundation, she continues to grow her skills and use her talents to uplift others through purposeful and impactful design.
